What Ages Do You Photograph?

One of the most common questions families ask is: “What ages do you photograph?” And my answer is simple:

All ages — from young beginners to high-school seniors and even adult athletes.

If someone loves what they do and wants a bold, dramatic portrait that captures their dedication, they’re the perfect fit for my studio. Below is a look at how sessions work for each age group and why families in The Woodlands trust me with portraits at every stage of the athlete journey.

Photography for Young Athletes (Ages 4–7)

These little athletes are full of personality, energy, and curiosity — even if they’re still figuring out which foot to kick the ball with. My goal with this age is simple:

Make them feel proud and celebrated.

I guide them through:

  • simple, kid-friendly poses
  • fun prompts
  • gentle encouragement
  • upbeat hype the whole time
  • fast sessions to match their attention span

Parents are always surprised by how confident their little athlete looks in the final images.

Photography for School-Age Athletes (Ages 8–12)

This is the age where confidence starts to grow and skills start to sharpen. Kids begin to take their sport seriously — and their portraits should reflect that. These sessions highlight:

  • emerging strength
  • improved skills
  • personality and growing confidence
  • clean, athletic posing

The portraits often become favorites because they capture such a meaningful season in their development.

Photography for Teens & Junior High Athletes (Ages 13–15)

This age group is building identity — who they are, what they love, and what they’re good at.
Sports start to feel “real,” and their portraits should reflect that intensity. I focus on:

  • strong, athletic posing
  • bold, dramatic lighting
  • confidence-building direction
  • a hype-filled experience teens love

The transformation that happens during these sessions is incredible. Teens walk out taller, prouder, and ready to show off their portraits.

Photography for High-School Athletes & Seniors (Ages 16–18+)

Senior sports portraits are one of my most requested sessions — and for good reason. This is the final chapter of their youth sports journey. Their portraits become:

  • senior banners
  • graduation posters
  • hype graphics
  • wall art
  • keepsakes for years to come

Seniors get a full “media day” experience with dramatic lighting, bold posing, and professional editing.
These portraits are powerful, emotional, and truly unforgettable.

Photography for College & Adult Athletes

Yes — adults get photographed too! Whether you’re a serious athlete, a recreational competitor, or someone who simply loves the art of sports portraiture, you deserve dramatic, fine-art images that highlight your strength and passion. These sessions are empowering and often deeply meaningful.

Why Age Doesn’t Matter — Confidence Does

  • No athlete needs experience.
  • No one has to know how to pose.
  • No one needs to be “photogenic.”

My job is to guide every expression, every angle, and every pose. Every session includes:

  • confidence-building direction
  • positive encouragement
  • expression and posing coaching
  • dramatic lighting designed for athletes
  • a fun, hype-filled experience athletes love

No matter the age — the confidence shows in the final portraits.

What Woodlands Parents Are Saying

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Rachel M., Alden Bridge

“My son started sports this year, and he’s only six. I thought he’d be too shy for photos, but Bri was incredible with him. She made him feel confident and special, and the portraits looked like something from a magazine.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Derek H., Sterling Ridge

“Our daughter is 13 and usually very camera-shy. Bri coached her through every pose with so much patience and positivity. When she saw her images, she said, ‘I look strong!’ Worth every penny.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Amanda P., Creekside Park

“We booked senior sports portraits, and I was blown away. Bri captured my son’s personality, strength, and focus. These are the best photos we’ve ever had of him — hands down.”
